Valentine's Mansion in Essex, Saturday 10th March 2007

Last Time we visited Valentine's Mansion in Essex we had alot of activity so we are visiting it again.

On Saturday 10th March 2007 The Sussex Ghost Hunters team revisited Valentine's Mansion in Essex for a great night of Ghost Hunting.

We started the ghost hunt by returning to room 13 where we got lots of activity last we visited.
As we saw and heard footsteps outside the room last time, we put a camcorder in the corridor recording to see if any activity was occurring when we were in room 13.
We took a few images and had some orbs near the door and near people.

We then went up to the conference room, which was on the second floor; we decided to sit in the room to see if we could get any activity.
Everyone felt uncomfortable as we felt as someone was standing in the doorway.

We went up to room 10 where we did the Ouija board.
We communicated with three people the first person was call Fred Allmon who died in 1803 of cancer.
The second person was called Henry Valentine, we communicating more but Henry was having trouble identifying the letters on the board.
The third person was called Gary Valentine who died in 1907 of Quincy.
We tried to get Henry and Gary Valentine to show themselves to the camera but they would not as they told us they were camera shy.

We then went down to the basement of Valentine's Mansion, The basement is setup into two sections, we started by going into the left part of the basement and we sat down in the dark to see if we could get any activity.
We heard movement above us in the loft, we were not sure what this was, and we think it was rats as this part of the basement is quite damp.

After we took some photos in this part of the basement, we moved into the right part of the basement, which looked like some kind of storage area.
This part of the basement was a lot warmer than the left part.
We looked around, took some more photos, and then took a break before going into another room around the mansion.

As the mansion was becoming a lot quieter as it was about 4am we decided to visit one last room before calling it a night.
The last room we visited was room number 12; we sat in the dark in this room for about 20 minutes and took some photos.
We were getting many orbs near the fireplace and the door of this room, but then after being in the room for about 15 minutes there was no activity so we decided to call it a night.

This was the last time we visited Valentine’s Mansion, as it is due to close in April 2007 to be renovated, They have been given nearly £2,000,000 by the lottery Heritage fund to renovate the building.
